Alaska F&G probably would make you move your house if they thought you were disturbing her.
On the flip side you could offer her some oats & molasis or omoline. She'll love you for life! On the off hand chance that she doesn't...it'll will only hurt for a little bit!
We had a cow and her calves come upon us while we were elk hunting in Wyoming. One of my brothers and I were laying on a rock next to a cliff, and she sauntered up about 20 yards away and just stared at us. All we could do was sit still and pray she didn't charge! Luckily, her and the little ones moved off, and we could breathe again!
So VFR that if i called in Pirep it would be Severe Clear
Those are great days........
I remember some 'VFR' days in Virginia back when I was active........Flight Service called it 3 miles......more like 1 mile.........
I started flying SEL in 1967........at 17 yrs old got my private license. Then at 18 got my commercial...SEL. Then at 19 got my CFI and AGI...... Got a bunch of time in various SEL birds including Taildraggers ....Retracts ......Aerobatics ...towing Banners (aerial advertising). Flew SAR for the Civil Air Patrol out of Blacksburg VA in the mountains......at 21 got my Instrument Rating.
Dec 1975 was the last I flew except Flight simulators in the Navy.....The P-3, a 4 engine turboprop was a fun bird.
Doing pretty good Ian. Had some plans for today that are getting changed because of a little dust up with the weather, but we need the rain badly so I will withhold complaints for now.

which is weird to me, because, when I think of Oregon, I think of rain!

Except when the Red Baron (Lt. Rogel) would slip the you into the seat for some unauthorized "stick time" and sneakily crank in down trim before hand - then kill George just as you got seated and hands on the yoke!
I gave it up in early 75 myself. Barbers Point and Cubi had a Navy Private Flying club. When I got PCS orders in 75 to Mugu, no flying club. Believe it or not the cash out flow in Cali was 10 time worse than Hawaii and 30 times worse than the PI and something had to be trimmed from the budget....In retrospect, I should have sold the 69 Mach 1.
After I got out and came home, girls got in the way, then my wife was not a great fan of flying, I scared the bejesus out of her sky diving, took 3 weeks for her to quit shaking and trembling - sold the equipment - then kids took all of the money and so

That's just about all we've been doing this year...thinking of rain.
But, we are really adept at bi#$hing about it too. So on the 3rd day of rain stand by to stand by!!!!!
Right now we have a heavy overcast here, 1000' ceiling, and hasn't rained any in about an hour. For as heavy as it was coming down at 0200, we only have had .35" since midnight and 0" yesterday.
Long story........short: Got married Nov 72.......one daughter.......Wife left Dec 1975......within a month I was drinking too much....at least I was smart enough to stay away from aircraft......1979 got sober........never got back to flying due to Duty Stations (21 years Navy) and other distractions.....
Mistake....I should have gotten back to it........
