Time for me to get my tail in gear and get ready for the cemetery meeting and the Family Reunion that follows at the Stewart / Williams clan homestead which was the "end of the Oregon Trail", where the covered wagon was unloaded for the last time.
There is a pond out at the old homestead in the "north" 40 and if tradition holds course, there will be some kids that a couple of us escort for a fishing, bug and critter collection expedition. Then we will get to listen to the eeks, ooh's and yuks from the women and mothers when we get back.

Reunion turned out to be real interesting...I have a young cousin that has played soccer since she was knee high to a grass hopper. Ended up playing college level and has won a ton of awards. By all accounts she is pretty darn good. She is even very searchable on the internet.
Well, this year she has been picked up by the Portland Thorns. (Women's version of the Timbers - professional soccer). As usual she was at the family reunion and in addition to bringing her boyfriend, she brought some of her Pro Soccer teammates with her. Made for a really great and interesting time. As soon as I do some research and find out what "soccer" is, I will officially become a fan...ah heck - after today I already am a fan, just have to find out what I'm a fan of!
