The unfortunate part is that we need it too. Probably what we need more than rain on the valley floor at the moment is a heck of lot more snow pack in the mountains....
It's looking like there is a potential for a pretty good showing.
I will go if there is still an open invitation for me. I am not sure if there is after my tirade.
Oh, okay. I thought it was something recently. Oh, by the way, I was incorrect in the CL thread, Dave didn't leave the site, just turned down the CL nomination.
"Hobby hasn't been on much lately. Perhaps he has discovered "girls" in the time honored "head over heals - no time for anything else fashion" He did name his truck after one. I believe there is a possibility he is going to become the property of the US Government before too long. Keeps talking about enlisting, but also talks about ROTC a lot."- Jim
Now Jim I am going to answer your comment in my a-typical infamous fashion.
I have been super busy with graduation stuff, some family issues, work, play, etc. on a normal week I will avg. 8hrs/night of sleep. I am averaging 4.6hrs/night these past 2 weeks.
Although I did go on a date, it hasn't really changed anything, I am hoping to ship out in august so its more of kicks and giggles see where it ends up.
I played with 2 different names with my truck, I ended up with a female one because a male didnt seem normal while driving and my truck doesnt act like a guy, or at least in a stereotypical fashion.
ROTC sent me a letter, I was not selected, so I am working on becoming enlisted personnel.
Im working on become property of the government as we speak. I am working over all of my medical paperwork.
I intend to take the DLAB and try to go 35P (cryptologic linguist), if not MP or combat engineer. I might go USAF depending on the new contracr stipulations.
Its looking like Army. the Air Force has semi open contracts and a good portion of enlistees get told their job after basic (it mostly depends on ASVAB scores and recruiter). Army has closed, you chose based on qualifications and whats open. They tell you the exact date you ship out, mine would be around august 25th if all works out.
I know becuase I have family and friends in both branches.
Due to my college credit I get a promotion to E-2 or E-3, not sure which ATM.
Well, either way, I think you're making a good choice. I hate to think of where I might have ended up, had I not decided to go in the Navy. I wasn't going to school, just screwing around. Navy helped me get my crap in one sack!
Good afternoon Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Just a quick flyby. Home long enough to switch vehicles and take off again. Rain drops as big as softballs falling at the moment.
