Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 41.9°, a few clouds but mostly clear at the moment. A 50 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 56. West wind 6 to 9 mph.
Think the Warden has a Costco trip in mind for today. I need to go to the BLM regional office today and want to stop by the Warn Dealer as well.

No, did those last year.
One of the assembly bolts for the Brush guard has apparently corroded off and I need to see what I need to do to get a replacement and how I even replace it without tearing the hole thing apart, which if that is the case, I may just take it out to the farm and weld it.
Last fall when winching a elk up a hill we noticed that the clutch on the winch would chatter every once in awhile so I thought I would talk to them about that as well.
Ah, okay. I didn't know the had local dealers. I ordered a set of hubs for the 67 of theirs online a few weeks ago.
I'll have to check to see if the dealer is still in Salem. I think it is just an auto parts store that happens to carry Warn parts and used to be listed as a Warn Authorized Service Center.
I got my set of Warn "Premium" hubs through O'Reilly Auto Parts. Just a little cheaper and I got a Military Discount at O'Reilly's.
I didn't get the premiums, wonder what the difference is between those and the standard ones...
Other than being prettier....LOL
I believe the standard hubs are rated light to medium duty with plastic centers...premiums rated at heavy duty with metal centers.....I think. Used to be that way anyhow.
Went with premium because they weren't that much more and when my OEM Auto Hubs snapped (drivers side), a Toyota Pickup had to pull me off of the grass/mud log landing and onto the gravel road.
First I made sure no one was taking any pictures of that,
Second I swore that was never, ever going to happen again.
(my elk hunting partner has never let me forget it either!)
Oooo....Ouch. Yeah, good thing there's no video evidence of that. Can't blame you there, then. Wish I had known about those, I might have gone that direction with mine.
