Good afternoon Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Just getting home from Salem. I have once again confirmed and re-affirmed (did I mention that there is no doubt in my mind!) that there are some really dumb, dead brain matter, ill mannered stupid idiots in our state house in Salem. I talked to 3 of them today! Didn't talk much, we only got 2 minutes. I hadn't even gotten started before my time was up.
It appeared to me that just about every time a panel of folks testified opposing SB 941, Senators Burdick and Gelser started playing on their lap tops or I phones. Certainly courteous of them. Then towards the end, Gelser tried to come off sternly with a person opposing and ended up with one of the most inflammatory, disrespectful, idiotic questions I have ever heard. I'm not even going to try and repeat it. When they post the video/audio record on the legislative web site, I'll post a link and time line to it. There is no way I can repeat it and do it justice.
Sheriff from Grant County was there, seems to be a really good guy.

If you go to 1:43:40, that is the beginning of testimony of the fellow from Polk County. He gets 2 minutes then is called back to the table to answer a question from Senator Gelser.

Harley and I spent the morning cleaning around the front of the main shop and then worked on the roof this afternoon. Hope to have all the roofing off by Saturday, but we'll see...
