You can tax people, but it wont get far, taxing the truly wealthy and "big business" will actually do something for us. Look around 1950-1976, taxes were high, income inequality was low, government had sticky fingers, and most say it was an alright time but, thats word of mouth.
P.S. The actual political differences y'all are squabbling over, are so miniscule its comical. The higher up you go the closer to hitler you are, the farther left you go the cloder you are to stalin and his commies. (higher up means fewer rights for peeps, farther left means more control over the economy). Most of my generation is a about 2 clicks down and one click left from center. I am 3 clicks up and 4 clicks right from center.
