Reducing pensions is becoming the norm. My in-laws had their benefits cut yet again a year ago. They are in the private sector though. I agree as mentioned in the article that cuts need to be made in government elsewhere too, but in military benefits, that is likely to happen as well.
For me, it isn't a question of "What I think should happen?" It's a question of "Can we afford it"?
