Finally got the old wood stove/water heater on the back of the pickup today. Sucker was heavier than I remembered. As it turned out the pipe connections for the water heating part of the wood stove worked to our advantage for hand holds and keeping a cargo strap in place. Four of us, a hand truck, two ratchet straps and a few sore muscles got the job done. We'll take it off the pickup and put it in the shop out on the farm tomorrow. Going to wrap a couple of straps around it making a cradle. Then hook it to the bucket on the front of a tractor and lift it out of the pickup.
I am as good at BS as anyone. Here goes - Oh, nevermind, it is getting late and I am tired after building a wine cabinet and making a room full of mahogany raised panels in my shop for a huge house that I am working on... and time for bed! Will try again tomorrow...
I had something nice happen today. I had a compressor given to me that I could not get the motor to run right. So I bought a Harbor Freight 23 Gallon Compressor. Well I decided to take another look at it today, went through the wiring with a schematic that I got from the company. All the wires looked correct so I checked the motor windings they were good, no shorts or dead grounds. Hooked up the capacitors and plugged it in, started right up.. So now I have 45 gallons of air capacity to do what I want with. Which is nice because I bought a paint spray gun last year. Want to try and shoot my bug. Figured I can learn what not to do on it before tackling my sons Camaro or the 62 fords.
Evening, pull the rotors off the red SHO and had them turned and replaced them on the car. Worked on the floor pan of the bathroom. And still got to watch rthe duel races, good racing!!
