I know you're always looking for projects. How about this one......
Good deal.
Hmmm.... Looks like 3 16+inch diameter by 6+inch width rims, attached with a 1/8 inch wire for a cooktop. Not sure what the smokestack is for. Looks like an open design to me. I could certainly do that, just need to see if I can find some rims lying around, im sure either I have some or someone close by has some.
I did make a BBQ, might take that design and change it over to a shop heater.
Thanks for the idea don! perfect weekend project. I would do it during shop class, but I need to finish my dragon.

Definitely, there are a lot of salvage yards around here. Im sure to find some. Heck, I saw a ~1967 truck cab bed and frame at the scrappers in December.
Who wants a chevy in their bedroom?............bad enough if it's in the garage!
Thats the only thing the majority of chevys are good for. Beds and other random projects. The only thing I can think of is the same as any toyota, a good mudding rig that can get the daylights beat out of it and be fixed, at a cheaper price. Granted they break easier.
I do like a few, such as the 70-72 c/k 10&20's, apache series...
