rougher then a night in county lock up, first ford first manual transmission after driving a auto 1978 chev k10, love the ford much better tho it has manual steering and drum breaks, cool old truck that needs a ton of work 352 fe so i was told, could be any fe who knows lets here what everyone knows and suggestions to fix the old gal up
probably the best idea only paid 800 bucks for it with a clean title, not bad for a running old ford, tho the clutch release bearing ie throwout bearing will need replacement along with the clutch..when it gets warmer
I had a 72 f100 that I rebuilt a 360 fe for. It was a ton of fun. There were 3 things I wish I would have done to it. 1) went ahead and upgraded the 360 to a 390. 2) relocated the tank from inside the cab. 3) converted the drum brakes to disc. I'm dumb for selling that truck... Wishing now I had it back!
Lots of possibilities. LMC truck is a good place to start.
hehe ya this one had a 360 in it but someone has put a older 352 i believe in it as the valve covers are mid to late 60s fe covers, yet to find the id code on the block but when it gets warmer i will find it mark my words, love the truck as it is, probably keep it stock brakes around here as its a small town i wont need power steering or disc breaks to bad
Not bad for the price what are your plans for it? Try and fix it up with paint one day or just make reliable driver out of if? Whatever you do stay away from LMC Junk.
probably slowly restore it and use it as a daily driver if i can, around here in this small town it would work pretty well , good chance i know a wrecking yard that has a few 67 to 72 f series trucks that i can rob parts off of

1958/64 FE engines only installed in cars, have rounded valve covers without holes for smog valve/oil cap. Have an engine oil fill tube on the right (passenger) side front of the engine block.
The valve covers could be plain, or have FORD or THUNDERBIRD embossed on them.
Since these engines were only installed in cars, have a different bolt pattern on the engine block that the rubber insulators bolt to vs 1965/76 engines.
1965/76 FE engines have pent roof shaped valve covers with holes for smog valve/oil cap. There is no oil fill tube. 1967/76 FE valve covers have Powered by Ford embossed on them.
