Viper quirk - the more expensive remote's buttons will trigger if you get a slight gust of wind. Forget trying to carry it in your pocket. Stick with the standard remote. Otherwise the system works perfectly.
Have it installed by a shop familiar with Ford diesels. There is an issue (delayed alternator engagement IIRC) which requires an alternate programming method, at least with the 7.3L.

One had a Clifford keyless entry and remote start when I picked it up. Keyless entry still works fine but the remote start only turns my lights on now. I want to get a new system soon and will check out Viper when I do.
