Darn right that's a nice tonner. If nothing else, a treasure trove of parts. I bet it goes cheap. Thanks for thinking of me. Now back to the fam. Getting late zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
I messaged them because I'm not sure where it's at. I asked what the bid was I'd have to beat. I got a message back that they have an offer of 360 for just the engine but no offers on the whole truck.
My Dads '47 tonner that I have, was originally titled in Pennsylvania as a '48. Some states consider the year of the vehicle the year it was sold instead of the year of manufacture. When I was looking for a truck to replace my '47 COE, I looked at a 134" wheel base, 1 1/2 ton Jailbar that had a serial number that had a prefix of 899T, and titled as a '48.

I'll buy some parts if you want to sell anything. Just toss them onto the truck that's haling the panel from Minnesota as it whizzes by.
I could see us doing some trading when my daughter gets moved to Port Ludlow. I still haven't heard from them on what town it is but most likely the other end of the state and 300-400 miles away, outside of my traveling range.
But Port Ludlow not too terribly far from us. We obviously like the same iron so I can see it for sure. That tonner pickup is a challenge, but mostly all there. What's with the twisted bed?
I'm not sure but I wonder if it's not bolted on good. It looks like the running boards are cut off so maybe it had a flatbed at one time??/ Anyway, it's 365 miles from me so probably not happening.
