99 expy remote
My mom has a 99 expy and I ordered some remotes from ebay when they came in the remote id's arent the same but the guy says they will work is this true, I havent tried it yet cuz she lives 300 miles away, any help on the ids if not so thay I can send them back to him. thanx

Put the ignition key in and turn to the "on" position, and back to "off" .(don't start the vehicle) Cycle the key this way 5 times (some years need 8 or 10). The door locks will cycle automatically, telling you that the system is ready to accept new remotes. Then, one by one press, all the buttons on ALL remotes. If the remotes are compatible, they should work now.

well for anybody thats intrested my neighbor has an f-250 with the same numbers on the remote that my moms expy has and the remotes work with his so the remotes with the number

It's not on-off, it's acc-off. At the 8th cycle, ending in acc, the locks will cycle.
Then hit the buttons on all remotes that you wish to use when you are through.
Owners manual says up to 4 can be used.
Make sure you have the doors unlocked when you start, it'll make the door lock cycling easier to hear/see.
I just today did mine. Took all of 30 seconds to program the second remote....now the second key is going to bite.....
