Tell me about it. Having the dually makes it even harder, less room for error if your backing into a parking space. Maybe investing in a backup camera isn't a bad idea, especially when that bumper sticks out so far!
Oh i know, the parking lot i have to navigate every day has these tiny little spaces for compacts that i have to park in and i can't double park because the lot is always so full that every space is needed. So i end up with my truck hanging half way out in the road. 😂
I have a rear solid glass( NO tint) from my 95 f350. I took it out 2 years ago to put in a slider. I wanted access into my camper top for the dog.
I still have the solid glass and the gasket which is still good. I bought a slider from LMC and got a new gasket when I did. I had a professional glass technician come to my house to change it out for me.
IT IS FOR SALE... CHEAP price will depend on how you want it boxed up. Right now it is in the box that the slider unit came in. I can add a plywood backer to it and pack it all up with some more cushy stuff. OR I can send it out in the box as is with some bubble stuff wrapped around the glass.
This can also be totally wood boxed( see shipping below).
Go measure your window(I'm too lazy to go downstairs to do this) add a few inches to each dimension and guess the weight at about 50 lbs for shipping. I'm in KY near Cincinnati ( pick up is welcome) zip code is 41015. Get yourself a shipping quote from who ever you want to ship it besides Greyhound ( there is a $30 charge to get it to the terminal).
I work in a big manufacturing plant so if you have your own account through any shipper it can be sent out from my shop as long as it is prepaid.
Fed Ex online quotes have consistently been a few dollars higher on the last stuff I shipped out. I shipped a very well packed tailgate at 70 lbs, to CA last Aug for $70. I'm sure this window will be cheaper. That is unless you want a wooden crate made for it.
I make no guarantees on this as far as gasket seal or glass arriving unbroke but I assure you it is all in good shape and the glass guy said the gasket looked fine. My truck had been T Boned not so long ago ( about 6 years ago) before I bought it so I'm sure that rear glass was replaced then.
Price is $40* plus your shipping charges.
*Wood crate will be cost of wood ADDED to above price. All wood crate will most likely make this a freight item so normal box pick up trucks will not touch it.
I have Paypal or will accept a USPS Money Order. Cash in person.
Sorry for the long post I'm just trying to avoid a dozen emails wanting info. If you do have a question then please by all means send me a PM and or post it here.
^^^^ You'd be better off selling that solid window locally. Shipping auto glass sounds... iffy. I'll bet you'll find someone to buy it pretty quick, someone else who's tired of his slider window leaking. I had to drive 40 minutes to a junkyard to find one solid window. Other one, I got lucky; craigslist, dude was just a few blocks away. Was only listed for about 3 days.

Yup, I get the crap from people when they tell me my truck is hanging out, almost blocking the lane. I tell them to suck it, they don't have to deal with parking the beast!
Also, I park at the end of the lots usually, might have to walk, but at least I know I can get out without hitting somebody elses car. Too often do I see people that park on the edge of the lines. If it was my car, no problem, but my truck doesn't fit like that!
Too many things can go wrong with shipping glass. USPS/UPS/FEDEX aren't really known for taking care of their packages too well, even if they are marked fragile!

Haha yeah i do the same, the end spaces are easiest. I found a solid glass in a junk yard local for $35 theres one more junk yard here that I'll check first then i might just do that.

Hell at that price, pick them both up! While your at it, maybe the windshield too!
^^^^ Windshield is a completely different deal. Takes specialized tools to remove / install, and since it's curved, is a b!+c# to move / store. Typically windshield damage is covered as a zero-deductible item on insurance, too.
$35 is a "good" (not phenomenal) price. I paid $40 at the junkyard for one. Other truck, dude around the corner sold me his for $20.

Thanks for the input, im thinking about jumping in the truck with the girl friend and making a trip to go get it today. My friend wants a solid for his ranger too, maybe I'll do some research real quick and find out what trucks will swap into that one. Sounds like a good Christmas gift
