Dont know where else to post this but I have a stock ford sliding window I picked up from a parting out truck. Gasket was no good and I cant seem to find one even most(havent checked all) of the local glass shops cant find anything to work, all have different names for it gasket, weatherstrip, moulding, whatever its called its the black rubber 'thing' that holds the slider in the cab.
Anyone have any laying around for sale or know where I can get one?
I got the window for $20 and the stealership wants $171 just for the 'weatherstrip" TOO MUCH when i could get a whole new window for that price.
Will be going to work now and will respond asap.
Thanks

Reason: additional info
Check at a body shop. That isn't hard to find. Ford used the same rear glass form 1973 through 1997. I think 97 but anyway it was several years. That molding shouldn't be hard to find. There are different ones depending on the glass but go to a body shop. I am suprised a glass shop can't get one. I just picked up one for one of my trucks but is wasn't for a sliding glass.
well I will try that tomorrow but after today of calling more glass shops being told by each one 'dealer only' I might be better off getting a whole new slider and junking the one I have!
I know that it isn't "dealer only" I had to replace the seal on my factory slider before and I got one form my glass guy. It wasn't very expensive either. It has been awhile for the truck with the slider glass. The other truck was real resent. You can run into that fact that some after market sliders use a different seal then an OE window.
Somebody has it around.
