Computer problems on a 07 6.0?

Driving down the road, ETC light comes on, then abs light comes on, then all the dash lights go off, radio cuts off, headlights go dim, and engine power loss on and off. I cut it off to see what it was then it wouldn't crank back. We jumped it off it ran for about 30 seconds with all the lights flickering the whole time then it cut off by itself. What could this issue be? Thank you for your time.

One of the first things I would be checking is battery connections, and the batteries themselves. Along with that, alternator. For any vehicle and especially the 6.0L having strong batteries and a strong alternator is imperative.
Have you checked for codes?

If the cables look good they can still be bad. Do a test called "Voltage Drop"
It a way to test cables. The cable might read that it's got a low resistance
but still have problems with high current loads. Here is a link to a Youtube
how to video.

So would it strictly be battery or alternator issues? It wouldn't be anything with the computers or the FICM or anything like that?

While it may not be your batteries. You begin your diagnostics from the source then go down stream verifying each step of the way. These trucks are very picky about voltage and amperage.
Without proper vlt/amps nothing will work right. So you begin by verifying you have enough power availble. Power getts to low and the PCM and FICM start doing strange things. So does most everything else that is electrical.

Battery, alternator or cable connections or combo of them.

Sorry for the
But wanted to say it's good to see someone still comes and hangs out with
us over here in the 6.0L side. How is the new truck treating you?

He is right about the truck being picky about power. That test I said to do
can point out a bad cable that can cause things to go funny.

Hi Sean, The new truck is doing great for only 400+ miles. Raining and don't want to get her dirty after a wax job. LOL. This is still my birth forum so to speak. If I can help anyone I'm happy to do it. What goes around comes around. Many great people here and a lot of them from here now in the 6.7 forum. One big happy family.

Good to hear.
Are you paring it inside or did you get it a tent?

I would love to have one of the 20'X10' Costco tents.
This rain makes it a pain to work on then.

I hope that that Outlawf2 will post back with what he has found.
Electrical can be so much of a pain at times for some people.
Myself I like a good challenge.
