more problems!!

OK i know this is probably the wrong forum but i need help a.s.a.p.

my truck is a 1997 F-150 4.6L ext cab 4x4 XL
To start things off I had a ground problem with the truck the lower ground under the passenger side kick panel was rotten off (fixed) my entire charging system was perfect before this ... new laternator , new battery and everything worked fine!

After fixing this ground problem all the sudden my alternator is not charging i have checked all the fuses they are fine the battery is fine ....

I have no battery light on in the dash and it does not come on with the key in the start position (this also worked before this as the alternator failed before) It is not charging so i know something is wrong .... can you tell me where the alternator fusable link is and how to check this all out before i have to rip the alternator out and get it checked because it should not be bad as it is brand new and worked perfectly fine before repairing the ground wire that was rotted off???????????????????????????

I wouldn't overlook the alternator as having possibly failed. The battery light should come on when the key is on but not started. You may have a blown bulb in the dash. Good luck!

no i checked the bulb as i was in there disconnecting the abs computer again and still good but i have heard that if there is a fault in the ciurcut it might be a bad fusable link so i need to know where it is before i start tearing out the alternator

Was there a specific problem that led you to fix the ground?

If not, or if it was just a minor issue can you (easily) unfix the ground? If you do, does everything work again?

If that clears things up, maybe there's something shorting out to that ground. If it doesn't clear things up, it's still a possibility ( could have damaged something).

This is just speculation, something else could have easily failed at the same time.

ok well good news and bad news lol
The good news
OK Franklin2 thanky ou very very much that #19 fuse 10amp in the dash was the problem all along even though it only says intrement cluster and airbag module in the book.
the person who owned the truck before me had a wire shoved in that spot to provide power to a seft of aftermarket fog lights. The fuse was good but after i rewired the lights properly and took the wire from out of the fuse spot the fuse no longer made contact and for some reason up untill now my battery was fine lol
i would like to thank everyone who had an opinion or a suggestion to help me out and for putting up with my many post about this problem
Thanks a million every one !!!!!
now the bad news lmao i need a gas tank mine is rotten
