Camera angle: straight-on view from front of engine, top of pic is toward turbo
Light grey connector with 2 wires.
Located under turbo hot-side boot (so leaking oil can keep it lubricated -- notice oil covered wire loom near egr valve connector).
Boot replaced.
Small, clamped hose in upper-left of pic goes to degas tank.
Oil filter (2" to right), is in upper-right of pic.
Also, would a carb cleaner bath be OK, or too harsh for the connector?

Reason: added info
That is IAT2 or Intake Tempurature Sensor #2, the first sensor is built into the MAF.
Over the life of the truck with a functioning EGR system, this sensor becomes clogged with soot. It's worse when your EGR cooler is leaking.
You will need a pair of needle nose pliers to pop the connector off and (I believe) a 13/16" deep well socket to get it off. Clean it with carb cleaner, not brake cleaner and you're good to go.
Mine was clogged with gooey soot thanks to my EGR cooler leaking, but that's since been fixed when the truck was bulletproofed.

I appreciate your reply, however, this confuses me.
Illustration #45 of post #2 does look like my engine layout, to include the angle of the sensor.
(Providing the view is from the Driver Side - my pic was taken from the Front)
If so, it would appear that amdriven2liv's reply, identifying sensor as Coolant Temp, was correct.
What is your reference/source of conflicting information?
It's the oil temperature sensor in your picture. IAT2 is in the drivers side runner of the intake manifold. ECT sensor is in the top radiator hose outlet at the block.

Thanks Timbo, don't know how I got my wires crossed...
