Ok, here goes. Pulled the 5er this weekend and when we got home I noticed some oil spots under the truck.
Truck is '04 6.0 with '03 engine 100K miles, all stock. The oil seems to be coming from somewhere on top of the driver side of the engine. I also noticed my coolant level had dropped about 1/2 " in the degas bottle and i'm not positive, but I think the oil level has increased on the dipstick passed the max mark. Oil did not smell like diesel. I have drained enough oil to bring the level down between min and max.
No sign of puking on the degas bottle. Temp deltas ran 12-18* while towing. max water 213 and max oil 231.
Any ideas where the oil is coming from? I have never had an oil leak before this trip.
I have attached a couple photos of the oil if it helps any.
Should also point out, sometimes the EGR coolant hose can leak and as its dripping down the motor, it mixes with dirt/oil to make it look like a oil drip. So also check the EGR cooler hose.
Unlikely but not impossible is the turbo drain tube under turbo, it's only a o-ring seal.

Sorry, I am new here and a new 6.0 owner. I have heard folks make reference to the oil smelling like diesel. Is there a problem if this occurs or what would cause this?? Thanks
