Hey everyone. Over the past couple of months my passenger door lock hasn't been working properly. I've preformed the door lock fix with the aluminum foil 6 or 7 years ago and tried it again recently thinking that may be the problem. No such luck.
I bought new actuators and replaced the passenger side one and same problem still. I then checked the voltage coming from the switch. Drivers door on lock and unlock sends 11.5V to the actuator. Passenger door on luck and unlock only sends 1.5V to the actuator. Where do I go from here? I've read something about door lock relays but no one seems to know where they're located. Any help is greatly appreciated!
I don't have a schematic available to see what's what but it could just be a bad connection somewhere in the feed to the switch.
Did you but OEM actuators? Will they work on the bench with a test battery?
I searched everywhere, even behind the radio and didn't find any relays. According the Haynes manual our trucks either came with them (and RKE) and or didn't. I'm guessing mine was one that didn't. I pulled the old actuators back out, cleaned them up really good, added new foil and reinstalled. Seem to be working fine for whatever reason so I'm good with that. Thanks for all the help!

Might have been some corrosion on the connection and messing with it helped to improve the connection.
You are correct. The relays only occur on the RKE models. Here are the wiring diagrams in case you have the need later.
