I have a 2002 Eddie Bauer with the captains chairs and want to change to the bench - now I have 3 kids!
I scored an entire second row in tan from a 2002 for $70 but want to change out the leather to match my tan/olive of the Eddie bauer. Theseatshop.com does not have anything and the ebay listings are only for driver and passenger side bottoms. Anyone?
Oh - and my captains are not for sale! I know how valuable they are you never know about changing back!
Are the captains for sale? I want the captains chairs. PM sent about the rear seats. And another just now... DIBS!!! Honestly I doubt you'll be able to find any new leathers off the shelf. You're going to have to go to an upholstery shop and pay through the nose to get a matching bench cover You're better off waiting and buying the correct seat off eBay and eating the shipping To thank my for the advice... captains chairs.... just a thought...
As stated in the original post. Captains chairs are not for sale.
I did talk to theSeatShop.com and they can make them. All leather (not vinyl) with correct pattern and everything - $1100 - wow!!!
Nice guy stated that they don't get a run of the eddie bauer olive in vinyl or it would be closer to the 700 range. Just limited demand so only get the good stuff.
Might be just looking at covers now!
You know you could watch eBay and if you see a seat you could always win the seat email the seller and ask them to remove the leather and keep the actual seat... That might cut your shipping to 1/4 what it was and make it reasonable... just a thought.

You can have them dyed... or dye them yourself and do a "professional" looking job. I know a couple guys who had factory seats dyed to match musclecar/truck interiors... I just can't remember where (in Milwaukee) they sent them.
Personally I would never try to dye them myself. I did (well tried) on my SN95 mustang years back and it didn't do anything. White leather seats and tried to go black. Tried a few times and I was able to clean the seats well and get them back to white each time I tried 3 different brands too. I only did the rear seat though.
I'm looking for limited second row excursion captain chairs. We are picking up our new excursion in MT this week and then will be driving south through UT into CO and the to OK,TX, FL. Basically we will be traveling for the next year, so we could connect at any number of places. Please let us know if anyone would like to sell or swap!! Need the space while we're traveling.
