c6 shifter linkage problem

hi, fellas would like some help with my c6 shifter linkage hitting the long tube headers and can't shift from park. Should I cut and weld the original rod or play with a universal shift linkage kit? Any and all help welcome. Thnxs. will try and post pics soon.

Going to need those pics to see what you have going on. If your headers were properly made for your application everything should clear fine. Personally if the fit is that bad I would probably send them back.

If you cut and move the rod it will not line up on the column and cause all sorts of problems.
