Air filters?

They do flow better then stock filters.
I put one in my car and the computerize air monitor when crazy for a few miles until reset everything. Was getting 17.5-18 mpg with combination freeway/city driving for like the first 3yrs after buying it new.
Then Installed the K&N cotton washable filter and it has increased mileage 19/20 same type of driving. for almost 5yrs now. Washed once at 25,000
After my car showing this improvement, I order one for my truck and did notice a small improvement over the any paper filters I used.
But one thing if going to the K&N filter is keep your old filter so it comes time to clean wash it you'll have to let it dry good for a day before spraying it with oil again. This way you put in your old filter while the k&n drys
Take note for computer vehicles you should not over oil the filter.
As it could coat the air/sensor and possibly damage it that has happen in the early yrs of over oiling it.
I'm sold on the K&N's filtrations.
If you old ride runs better with the filter lid which lets it run leaner Right!
Then maybe a K&N will give a little better gulp of air..
All these little aftermarket things do add up in the long run as the reason we buy them.
The K&N Filters are not like the magic mileage of the little trick placing magnets around the your fuel lines.
That made their way around in the 70's gas crunch.. Someone made a lot of bucks from those. My 2cents they work for me!
