Air Filter

Does any one have a suggestion on what air filter and crank case air filter to use on the inline 6? I don't want to spend big money on a long term filter. I really just want a decent reasonably priced filter.

Thanks,
Blindlightguy

Motorcraft and Fram both make decent air filters.

Oil filters are another story...

well, for me, the stock filter has always done good, just get the ford replacement, its good enough for ford, so id say its good enough for me.

I went to the parts store and the MotoCraft was right next to the Fram and everything else. The price was pretty close so I bought MotoCraft. Even if it the price wasn't I'd still go with factory. Look at the non-MotoCraft catalog sometime and see how many of their filters are supposed to fit a lot of different makes and models. I just think it's best to stick with stock whenever you can.

I've heard bad things about those Fram oil filters. I guess on new Dodges, the insides are gettin sucked out of the filters! Not a very good thing if you ask me. But then again... Thats a Dodge for ya...

Stick with a motorcraft oil filter and I'm not to sure about air filters. I'd say fram is probably ok.

handy, whats up with the dual post? it may get your post count up, but it just clutters up the boards when you do that.

lol, probably not the dodge's fault the filter is getting crumbled up and sucked in.

I've used NAPA filters. I like them.

I think that is appropriate commentary for something we already know about Dodge trucks.
