Funny thing is, I have event shirts from years 2, 3, 4, and 6 having never been to one of them, yet. I'd always grab one of Clay's clearance ones either in a giveaway or buy one outright to help advertise the company and the event lol
HEHE, while those are good too, not the apple pie I was referring too.
I agree though with the fire. In the summer it's a bit much, unless it's cool outside.
Growing up, I've found that cedar needles are good to use as a natural repellant. Every time I'd go walk through the woods or go hunting, I'd rub my skin and clothing with the needles. I've found the oils repel a good deal of insects. Google natural insect repellants, and it will come up.
Not to say that some mosquitoes and flies are just down right vicious, and will attack you anyway.
The ferns in the woods are good to - lay them around or under your bed and ticks and bugs stay away.
Now...being as I am likely THE MOST BORING GUY on here (can't believe we are all angling for that distinction) what on earth was the Apple Pie reference if not apple pie? I clearly am out of the loop on that one. If it is some new nickname for something you better fill me in.
Last year I was signing my son out of school and it asked why he was going home on the computer. I typed in "Kush" because my kids always say it and I thought it meant "Shoot" or "Crap" from the way they use the word. I was just goofing around because I figured they never read those reasons anyway. Well, my sons eyes got huge and he reached to keep me from clicking the OK button but was too late. Apparently, Kush is a new word for marijuana (high grade marijuana I guess) and no one bothered to tell me....no one ever called from the school, but man was he worried!
I'm betting the apple pie reference is to apple pie moonshine, not 100% sure though. Seems to be all the rage, though I've never partaken (I'm usually the guy driving, and I ain't drinking anything that I don't know how I'll react to if I am...)
That kush thing I funny. My eyes went wide when I saw what you did lol. It's been the rage here. I'm not into that stuff though, but I couldn't give a hoot to anybody that does lol(did you guys get the pun)
I forgot to mention Nate will, but he has such a refined pallet. Dortmunder gold, Elliot ness, burning river pale ale or the Christmas Ale?

My deal is, I just don't drink much, so when I do I try to make it a good one. Mmmm, Christmas Ale. That's a good one for sure!
Nate is like that "most interesting guy in the world" guy on the Dos Equis beer commercials. Sasquatch once took Nate's picture, and the mosquitoes don't bite him out of respect! LOL!!!!

You mean like the time you got drunk and asked your mother-in-law to have a threesome?.......

It is a family oriented event. Hanging out and drinking a few beers with friends is fine as long it doesn't get out of hand and is kept somewhat quiet after hours. We were camped right beside those idiots that threw the chairs in the pool last year. We had two grandsons with us that were in bed and these guys were right outside our camper hooping and singing drunker than nine-eyed goats. I asked them nicely once to keep it down, especially the profanity, and then had to ask again a second time....which wasn't so nice. I quit drinking almost 19 years ago and don't touch it anymore because I was an alcoholic, but I have no problem with anybody drinking, and have no problem being around it. But when someone starts acting like that at a family event with children around, it's time to go to sleep, or get put to sleep.

That is hilarious Dan! I cant wait for the wife to get home and tell her that one. She is gonna get a kick out of that! LOL!!!
Yeah bill. That was beyond excessive. I've had 5 beers since then all in a casual sense. I am getting a little worried about a friend of mine though. He seems to be getting into the whiskey a bit too much and I know he has been driving under the influence as well. I just hope he smartens up before he hurts someone. I'll stick with beer cause I get sick of it before I get drunk.

Prob keep those back at college. This is a family event .I'm not going fishing at 2am for friken patio furniture again..that crap almost cost us this great venue . it won't take many late night loud partying to screw us all .
This is a hanging at neals campfire talking trucks having drinks type event not disturbing the camper next door event.
Yes, I was talking about the apple pie lighting! Anyway, I'm not in college anymore. I only party like that once and a while, like somebody getting out of the Army, or moving away to another place. And that Kush stuff, well I've heard its good for glaucoma among other things.
Kush, is also one of the many useful pro-words that are good to know.

You're killin' me John.... now I need to know what a "pro-word" is? lol
I'm gonna have to give up communicating if I don't know half of what is being said. Do they make a dictionary with all these things in them? It's easier to learn ICP, IPR, CPS, etc .....
