I'm jealous of all the planned mods. Unless I get some inheritance soon, I just don't see adding the good stuff. We have 1 in college who will be going on a 2 year mission this summer. So any extra cash will head towards that fund first. I need about $4-5k to do what I want to my truck which isn't really that much money, but it is always just $4-5k out of my reach - lol.
I'll do my best to be at RRE this year. Will need to refresh the front end - ball joints, rods ends, etc - and hopefully get the gears swapped. If I can add the hood scoop and fender flares at least it will look cool!
I've got all my parts for my RSK except the ladder bars, just need to paint that stuff and install it. Same with the fender flares. So, I might be in your boat - looks good, but the other stuff not done. It'll be what it will be...lol.

That's what I'm looking at as well. Just depends on taxes this year.
If I can get my school and car loans paid off, then I can put more towards my truck. 4-5k$ will get me just about where I want it, at least the engine performance and e-fuel. Then I can put the rest towards getting a bit more creative with it a piece at a time or so once it runs again. I'll never sell it, so even If I invest a bunch of money into it, at least I'll have a nice reliable truck to last long into my later years. Then I'll have to invest in a nice 20' trailer if I don't end up building one myself first.
Are you going to do the custom hood scoop? I saw a thread somewhere on the guy using his OE hood, and cut it up to create the induction point, and then used fiberglass to form the rest of the scoop. Using a grill and some sort of air filter behind it. I'll probably try something like that, since I planned on getting a new hood anyway eventually.

I have a scoop from a 60something mustang that has a defined center line - it should lok really cool on there. I've laid it on top but need to fix the fiberglass and clean it up. Whether I cut through the hood or just put it up there for looks remains to be seen.

Whatchu talkin bout Willis? It already looks COOL!!!!
I still have a few things to do to my dually, and I need about $5-$6k to finish my other project I have going. I have no idea where that is gonna come from
I know. It doesn't grow on trees, that's for sure. I had budgeted for the bed and paint for the half ton, so I'm good there - the OBS stuff, well, not so much...gonna take some fanangaling around lol...
I can budget for something, but by the time I can save what I budgeted for, my plans, ideas, dreams, whatever have shall we say...expanded. My wallet can't keep up with my creativity.......or my BS, I don't know which it is LOL!
LOL! Was with some friends on Saturday and his comment about the OBS was "when you make up your mind which way you're going..."...lol I guess my plan isn't fully clear yet.
