You're killing me here! It's like being in a strip club with a blind fold on!!
Hey guys figured I'd pop in here again, if you guys don't mind. Those are some sweet videos Gabe, really makes me excited to go again this year. Fully plan on going again this year, not sure if I'll be in a hotel or at the campgrounds. Would love to stay at the campgrounds but not sure if I'll be able to.
Figured I'd share a few videos that I never got a chance to share from last year, took me a while to get em all posted though. I got a good amount from the drag racing, and would have to say that I got almost all of the sled pulls, I believe I left around 8 so not sure how much I missed. They were all on my camera, so they're pretty good quality. I'll only put up a few in here, since I have a lot and don't want to clog up the whole thread with videos. Unless you guys really want me to post them in here, haha. You can find the rest on my youtube channel if you want to watch them.
Convoy to the drag strip. Just ignore all my buddies talking, they don't know what they're talking about haha.
Racing, had my buddy tape for most of these, I taped the sled pulls. I went down the track 5 times, well I drove the first 3 and I let my buddy try the last 2. Gabe, I know I raced you a couple times, (recognize your truck), luckily I think it was before you got your shifting down, otherwise I would have really looked bad. You were running some quick times. Its funny my truck felt so much faster from inside, and then when you watch the video back it looks so slow haha. Sorry to put this one up though Gabe, it wasn't your best run, haha. It was the only good one I had of myself driving, the last one was my trucks best time, but my buddy was driving.
Looks good Jon! Don't be a stranger this year. It's funny to think that we all chat away on here but we bump into each other at something like RRE and without the truck, sig pics or avatar, we have no idea who anyone is!
It's amazing how well that track dried out. I know those guys worked their tales off to get it like that, but to those that weren't there, there was a couple inches of water on the track that morning.
Could have always turned it into a mud bogging run instead!
Either way, hopefully next year will be my year. I just don't think I'll have everything I want to, done in time this year. I guess it depends on how long the engine rebuild takes, and how many mods I can stuff in there in the few short months I'll have back home before RRE.

Thanks Nate! Yeah I know I'll try not to be. I'm a bit of a shy guy, so walking up to people I don't know and striking up a conversation, isn't exactly my strong point haha. I know what you're saying, I could recognize some of the trucks from sig pics and avatars and what not, but had no clue who anybody was, lol.
That's a big reason I want to stay at the campgrounds, the hotels weren't bad, but I just felt so far away from everything.

Gotta get that OBS 7.3 FTE shirt the first day with your FTE username
Not like the trucks won't set you apart.
Yeah they've been up for a while. Just got the sled pulls up the end of last year though. Took a while because I had so many and they take forever to upload to youtube.
I think you guys have talked about that before. We should all have shirts with: name, username, sig pic or avatar, and then truck info. Then maybe we could find everybody.

Yeah I know it was pretty wet. You do have to give those guys credit, it could have been a lot worse. Hopefully the weather is better this year. I missed the actually drying part with the trucks driving up and down. My buddies were hungry and wanted to go somewhere to eat, so 3-1 I lost, and we left for a little bit, lol.

The sled pulls almost did! That place was a mess at first. That took a lot of work to get ready. I'd say almost more of a feat then getting the track dry, it took a lot of work, it was a mud pit at first. Gotta give those guys a lot of credit too. Good luck with the truck John, hope you get it all done it!
I didnt get to see any pulls, Aaron, Kevin, and I were having a seat fixing party at the camp ground. That was a great afternoon!
I know how you feel Jon, I can be the same way, usually when Im around a new group of people Im just quiet and watching everyone else talk. But this was different, everyone was phenomenal, cant wait to meet them again.
Thanks Jon! Yea, I don't really have a problem initiating a conversation. I guess it's all those random times at bars, just talking to random people, since the people I went out with were boring me to death!
Well I'm sure that even without drying out the dirt track, everyone would have found a way to make it work!
