hard to start
I do not have a scanner, just a code reader, (working on fixing that) It is acting like my old diesels when glow plugs were out.
This is an 04 with 120K on it. I have never changed a plug. Do they give codes when they go bad, or do you just have to find them with the ohm meter?
And I live near Portland oregon. So it is not even below freezing.
Thanks
I went out and ordered an obd2 adapter. Should be here next week some time.
I also went out and pulled the cover from the FICM, 47.5 KOEO 17V trying to start.
Anything else could cause this? from what I am reading it is dead.
Some other info, there is no buzz from the injectors, fuel module or pump (hear a buzz from under the truck) seems to run for a long time (just replaced the filter a couple of weeks ago) Also, A few weeks ago, I got a code for ICP pressure high, and I did a oul change.
All of these seem fuel related, would they all point to the ficm?
I have a 04, with a 7pin FICM. Does it matter which one I find? and do they have to be programmed to the truck? where is the best place to get a rebuilt one.
Thanks

Might be best to call them. They should have a new website any day now...
The FICM should maintin voltage even when the glow plugs are on, correct?
I sent them an e-mail, I will call tomorrow I think I found their website.
Thanks
