An attachment idea, maybe some epoxy like JB Weld or the like, a cotter pin about 2 inches long and a fender washer. Glue the cotter pin to your cover, poke the pin through the insulation and put the washer on the pin .Might work. I'd experiment first.

But you could do the same thing with some small carriage bolts. Drill some holes, cut the bolt heads off just above the square shank, weld the bolts in place and then grind them flush. Nothing visible on the interior side.
I know some guys that used the pill -n- stick stuff in their cabs and the summer heat in AZ did a number on it.... one guy found out when it dripped thru his head liner and landed all over his seat.... he was pissed.
