Hey all. Its been awhile! I just picked up a maxidas 708 for about $300. Looks like its been used about twice. Appears to have the diesel programming update. Anyone ever try this on a obs powerstroke? It reads the codes, but will not 'complete' any diagnostic tests. They seem to start, then suddenly quit, generating a 'unable to communicate with module' screen. My obs has a obd2 diag plug, but i know that its running obd1 software. Any thoughs?

I don't think its possible for a powerstroke to run on OBDI..... OBDI vehicles don't have a port, they use a series of blinks from the check engine light as the only means of communicating codes. At least as far as i know, for Ford vehicles anyway, I don't know about any other manufacturer.
