codes?
got a 93 f150 302. can there be codes without the check engine light coming on. the engine is slacking sometimes and the tranny doesn't work right for nothing. and does the eec iv allow you to look at all the parameters while running like obd ii does.

Yes there can be codes stored even if the check engine light is not on. I think some EEC-IV's support realtime data viewing and logging, but I don't think that includes truck computers. If it did, it requires some special adapter to plug in directly to the service port on the computer. Blurry94 would be the guy to talk to about data logging.
