Hey guys, I've got a 99 F450 with a bit of an odd issue. The truck starts very well, cold or warm, but has no throttle response and low power. For a time the truck would move if I unplugged the MAP sensor (was just poking around and found it), now i have nothing. A buddy has AE, so we can try to diagnose it, i would like to stay out of a shop if possible. It will rev in neutral and park so I believe the TPS is still good. What should we test with AE? Thanks!
Fuel pump is brand new, dropped the tank and cleaned the screens (they were REALLY dirty), checked fuel pressure while the truck would still move 60 PSI under load. Fuel filter is brand new as well.
Look at your ICP and IPR. When warm, the ICP should be about 500, and the IPR (ICP DC) should be in the neighborhood of 9-10%, but stable. If the ICP reads 500 and the IPR is way low, the ICP likely has oil in the connector and is lying to the PCM. Pulling the ICP connector and driving the truck in stock tune is a quick and safe experiment.
