One last wire question

Engine is in truck and grounded. Thanks for all the help. Its cranking but I ran out of battery power for the night so ill continue tomorow. I cant figure out where this wire goes. I think its something with the glow plugs. Any help of location would be great. heres a picture. If the truck starts tomorow I will attach a video.

Looks like the power wire to the AIH but there usually is a nut crimped onto one of the eyelet ends...

Ground for AIH. You can see it in this pic. Goes from behind insulator over to driver's side plenum stud.

I think you are right. That makes more sense since it is a thin gauge black wire.

Thats not the wire im looking for. Unless I have another wrong wire...i have the AIH wire. Its red and hat a nut on the end. Goes from the solenoid closest to you when looking at the engine and the post closest to you to the AIH. The wire I am looking at is black and navistar 1831651c1 REV-B 87694s1

The AIH should have 2 wires on it. One red and one black. The black goes on first as the ground. Look again at the image link, I posted.

Roland is correct. The heater needs a power and a ground because the spider is not grounded very well. The wire you have looks a lot like the AIH ground wire.

Here is another photo.
