I was wondering if anyone knew who made a good truck box. Delta, deezee, ironton, huskey. I wanted to use one. I have a flareside so my bed is narrow with a drop in bedliner. I was thinking I might need to cut n trim the Berliner to get it to fit. Any suggestions anyone.
I have a Tractor Supply brand box but it's actually made by (I think) DeeZee. Pretty solid box but the top is kinda flimsy. It could easily be fixed by welding on a brace to the underside and the more expensive model above mine has exactly that from the factory.
I will suggest that you NOT get one with the gullwing top if you care about the contents staying dry. Just get the solid top that's one piece all the way across, it's MUCH better. Actually the gasket peeled off of mine and it still stays dry as a biscuit in there even after driving thru a summertime storm.
I have a Tractor Supply box with the gullwing lid, and I've never had an issue with water getting inside of it. But I will say that it does not have a lot of room inside for anything very large and it can be a pain in the neck to reach anything that shifts to the center of the box. If I bought one again, I would probably get one with the solid top.
Weatherguard does make some really nice boxes, if you don't mind the price tag.
