HID conversion?
HID conversion?
HI guys, I've been running H4's on both my Jeep (Black Betty) and my black 81 Econoline panel van (Easy Bake) for serval years in the latter's case. While the twin relayed system w/14 gauge wiring has been serving okay these days it seems the bulbs don't last so long that I put down as lack of manufacturing acumen. So I'm considering outfitting Easy Bake with a Bi Xenon 55w 6000k conversion kit.
Has anyone any experience with these conversions? Are there makers/sellers that are good and others to avoid?
Thanks and a lift of the lynch lid for any responses

Try to order off a reputable site. You get what you pay for when it comes to the Ebay kits, most of the time they don't work. Case in point, I could only get one ballast on my truck to work, the other wouldn't turn on. So I'll save my money for a better made kit when I switch to one piece projector headlights.
i put a cheap ebay kit in the hyundai, one bulb was bad but both ballasts worked, tried to get the seller to ship me a new bulb, gave up, ran a halogen on that side for awhile, ordered another pair of bulbs off ebay, got it all working again, then the control box went out because it wasn't sealed from moisture. a quick redneck fix had it back in action but without hi-low function.
so at the end of the day, a cheap kit is just cheap. a more reputable kit should give you good results.
i find it noteworthy that my van with simple old sealed beams shines more usuable light than the car does, even after the HID conversion and the aftermarket fog lights i added.
