VisionBulbs HID Conversion Kit??
VisionBulbs HID Conversion Kit??
I was wondering if anyone has tried these out on their SuperDuty? I usually get brighter bulbs, but for about 2-3 times the cost of good bulbs, if I could upgrade to an HID kit, I'd do it.
If not, has anyone converted to HID with any other brand?
Any input would be appreciated!
Thanks

Are you talking about a real HID kit? I've been looking for one for the truck but I can't find one.
I bought an HID conversion for 9008 bulbs but it turns out it is low beam only.
If you find a 9008 HID HI/Lo conversion kit let me know.

The one I was looking at is for a 9007 conversion to work in the factory head lamp. Would probably work much better with a projector lamp.
Milwaukee,WI, How did the conversion for yours work on Lo-beam?
check this out and let me know if it is similar to the one you tried if you could.
Thanks

jd,
I didn't put the kit in. Its sitting in my office collecting dust for the past couple of months. I didn't want to lose my hi-beams. (I use them too much when a bimbo in a corolla on the cell phone cuts me off)
If I wanted to put the kit in I would have had to cut the stock connections and solder a connection to the HID ballast/igniter as the hi/lo 9008 bulbs have a 3 prong connection and the connection that came with the HID conversion came with a 2 prong connection.
I plan to just buy 9007 bulbs and install the kit on my motorcycle.
For the truck I'm going to wait until they come out with a hi/lo setup for 9008 bulbs.
The kit you have there looks very similar. I think mine was actually a mccullough kit but I do believe it had vision bulbs. If you are paying more then $290 for the kit send me a PM. I have a source that can get you any HID conversion for under 3 bills.
