'95 F53 7.5 Super Duty EGR fault code
I have a '95 motor home with 98K miles. The CEL just came on and I'm getting a 327 EGR code. Still runs great but I suspect it is running lean -- my mileage went up from a normal 7 or so to 8.4 on my last trip. My best guess is the EGR valve rather than the EGR position sensor. Any one have any ideas on the subject?

Not sure as you did not say if the 327 was KOEO, CM or KOER.
If the 327 was KOEO or KOER then:
DTC 327 indicates the EGR Valve Position (EVP) sensor signal is less than the Self-Test minimum value of 0.2 volt.
NOTE:
Because the EVP sensor is preloaded when attached to the EGR valve, a failure in the EGR valve causing the EVP sensor to lose preload may also set DTC 327.
Possible causes:
-- Damaged EVP sensor.
-- Damaged EGR valve.
-- Open harness.
-- Grounded harness.
-- Damaged Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
If the 327 was CM then:
Continuous Memory DTC 327 indicates the EGR valve was closed further than normal or EVP sensor or circuit has failed with an intermittent low voltage sometime during vehicle operation.
Possible causes:
-- Poor continuity in EVP harness or connectors.
-- Intermittent open or short in EVP sensor or harness.
-- Damaged EVP sensor.
