Don't cut the tops. You will still be below the deck surface and it will still run on pump gas.
Even better! Thanks FTF.
Just an FYI: My family and I are Moving to Australia next year and the ol' truck is going with me. Octane in Australia is 95, 98, 100! Should run like a raped ape!
Just pulled the no. piston and checked the numbers on the rod and piston

Nope. I went back to the machine shop like I said in my last post and the guy wasn't there! I've been working longer hours than normal this week too so I haven't had an opportunity to stop by. I've been wanting to all week.
Trozei (Jackson),
I'm assuming your a professional photog. These images you're posting are unbelievable. Literally, you're making any part of a 300 look like it belongs on the wall of an art museum. Keep up the great work.

Thank you, but I'm not at all a professional. I have however received a lot of advice and criticism from professionals which has helped me significantly. I have Photoshop set to automatically watermark the photos. I started down this when I noticed my photos showing up elsewhere online. For example, search on Google for a 1969 F100 or a 1977 Highboy. You'll see my pictures right away and they're hosted on various websites that I have no affiliation with.
Not custom but they are not stocked in many places because they are a low production item, so they typically need to be ordered and Probe will make a set.
I got fed up with working the same hours that the machine shop was open, so I sent my dad down to go pick it up for me. It costed a whopping $30! Which was a happy surprise. The big name shop around town would charge $100. I completely forgot how grey cast iron is. I'm so used to the brownish colour. This is actually the first time my young eyes have seen a true as-cast grey.
