Been reading up and was thinking since my Temps are still good to just to a drain and fill back up with Ford gold? Would it be better maintenance to do a flush and full or would a drain and fill be just as good?

If you have Ford Gold coolant and are staying with that, it simplifies things greatly. Just drain and refill.
When changing coolant types, or you don't know what is in it now, you need to do a thorough flush of cooling system; mixing coolant types can cause serious problems. There are many posts in this site about flushing etc.
Consider adding a coolant filter, too. Check this site. Either the filter helps or those that install them do a better job of routine cooling system maintenance. Tough to tell which is true, but considering how expensive these trucks are, a coolant filter seems like cheap insurance.

I wouldn't just drain and refill. Wash all the old crap out. You don't need to use chemicals, just use distilled water. Essentially, you will be doing a flush, but it will be with plain water.
While I respect the environment and understand capturing the chemicals (both antifreeze and cleaning chemicals) for recycling, just pouring water in there and letting the engine run and then draining out ain't doing much flushing. To get the crap out of your cooling system and fully remove any cleaning chemicals you're gonna have to use a hose and MANY gallons of water and pull the block drains, run water through every opening. If you want to see some flow, rev it with the block drains out and a hose in the degas bottle. Now you're flushing.
I agree tap water is bad for your cooling system so a couple of dainty flushes with distilled are called for before going back with the coolant.
Also, if you just drop the coolant and refill, you'll be using premixed I guess? Or guess at what half full is and leave enough room for the concentrate? Drop and refill seems like a terrible idea to me no matter what your temp spread is.
The problem with just draining and refilling is half of the systems coolant is still left in it. If you flush the system with distilled water a couple times you can start over with new coolant.
Thanks all. I think that's the key with mine. Although it looks fresh I couldn't say when it was put in. I'll stick with a water flush and refill. Sound's like the best idea. When I first bought the truck I had planned on putting in a coolant filter in but not thinking that so much now. Proper flushing seems to do the job.
