Ok, so stumped on this one. 04 Excursion 128k. Been having a intermittent no start. Started back in July, no codes other than for cam sensor from extended cranking I guess. So replaced the engine harness since it seemed to be a common issue(icp/ipr looked good)
While doing the harness replaced the cam sensor, icp and ebp sensors.
Truck was fine for a little while but acting up again. Cold start is fine, i'll drive a mile to the farm for morning chores truck sits 2 hours go to leave and it wont start.
Icp climbs to 1200, then settles to 1000 while cranking. Ipr goes up to 45, then settles to 37.5. Ficm is 48, logic is batt voltage. I have 150+ rpm while cranking, lpo registers too.
My scangage will not show sync until it starts. Don't know if I need to take this path or another?
I have access to a snap-on scanner at my friends shop. Oh, the truck sat all day and started that night. Has done this a few times. Starts fine when totally warmed up.
What are you seeing for RPMs when cranking? I'd also check VRef during crank-no start. Maybe one of the three wire sensors is shorting and dragging it down.
Engine RPM's are 150-160 while cranking. V-ref has been 4.97v. I'll watch it again next time it acts up.
I've has 2 faults for the EGR throttle plate, the butterfly is removed. Maybe I'll unplug that see if it changes anything?? Don't know if that would effect Vref.

Thanks.
i could be wrong but i believe your suppose to have a higher rpm at crank in order for it to fire?
