Seats

The Drivers seat in my 99 F250 Lariat (leather) is getting pretty tired looking. Anybody ever had there seats re-upholstred? Cost? I price leather covers and was pretty surprised at the cost of just the covers...

I bought mine on eBay from Richmond Auto Upholstery, they are in Texas. Super fast shipping I called and spoke to owner and was surprised how fast they answered the phone, and the customer service was awesome. The seat is way better than I expected. Only took a couple hours. Make sure you have the upholstery clip tool. They have them Also make sure you get some extra padding from them to firm up the seat. Well worth the few extra dollars

Definitely don't forget the extra padding. The foam needs some work after a few years.

It also doesn't hurt to check some local car upholstery shops to see what they can do for you. My wife had hers done that way and it's about 100 times better than stock.

Bought drivers seat material from the seat shop (ebay) I think it was around $300 (I replaced the foam pad and the leather cover). Excellent fit and a perfect match.

I got mine from the Seat Shop in the Dallas Ft Worth area. Auto Upholstery | Leather Seat Covers | Foam Cushions | Home page They have outstanding customer service! Plus they have some good how to videos. I would also consider replacing the bottom foam while you are at it.
