Strange Door Lock Problems???
Hi, I have a new to me 2000 F250 Super Duty Crew Cab with 7.3L The door lock accuators were bad and I replaced the 2 front door ones. The problem I'm having is this. If I used the power door lock switch to lock the doors and close the doors, i can't get back in. I can use my key but the lock does not go all the way up. I have to used the door latch on the inside to open the door. Even trying to pull the lock up with my hand does not work!
Now the strange part! If I sit in the truck with doors closed and lock the doors with the switch, it will unlock just fine! No problems!
If I close the door and use my key to lock the door it will unlock just fine! The problem comes into play when I use the switch to lock and then close the door, it will not unlock! I'm afraid to lock my doors in fear of getting locked out.
Any ideas or suggestions?
