info needed on a '52 239 flatty
Don't like to ask for help but need a little info .
1. Need a measurement on how far the hood spears protrude forward of the round side hood badges on a '52
2. Need a description ( pic would be better ) of the routing & hook up of the battery terminals on a 239 flatty .
3. Size of cables for proper transfer of elec. .
4. Have a 3/4 tube of the black CL Lawrence butyl rubber windshield & back glass sealant if any one is at the glass install stage .That stuff is nasty .
5. Battery suggestions / referrals .
Am close to final running stage on the stock truck.
Thanks in advance ,Denny

That's what we're here for, isn't it?
1. I've never seen a spec for the spears. Mine are 5-1/2" past the edge of the round badge. I put them there because that's where there were marks from original installation. (Note: standard cab spears)
2. See below, but IMO that is the wrong way to do it. The ground cable should go to the engine, not the frame. The electrical schematics correctly say "ground to motor"
3. I don't know of anywhere the original gauge is called out, but #0 is the minimum.
