I went with 5000k HID lights and LED switchback for the turn signals.

I went for 55w 5000K HIDs from Retro-Solutions.

If you want to stay with halogen I'd recommend either the Philips XtremeVision (brightest bulb I've used (moreso than silverstars) or the Philips CrystalVision (not as bright as the Xtreme) but a whiter color.

x2, I love the Philips Xtreme's I have in the headlights. Very bright, white, crisp light output - on par in color with a 4300-5000K HID, which has the most lumen output (actual light) and is identical to sunlight.
