Ok, Ill try and keep this short, and Thanks in advance!!!
My '04 6.0 with 300k miles fried the ICP sensor a few weeks ago, resulting in a no start. Replaced it, started, ran great for a week. Then it fried the camshaft position sensor, replaced it, started, ran great for a few days. Now it is either not starting or starting and running extremely erratically, rough idle, sounds like sh**, up and down etc. or it will just no start.
It's now throwing all these codes:
P0336 - Crankshaft position sensor A circuit Range/Performance
P0401 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow insufficient detected
P0603 - Internal control module Keep Alive Memory (KAM) error
P0649 - Speed control lamp control circuit
P2287 - Injector control Pressure sensor circuit intermittent
So.. My thought is that the engine wiring harness is shorting out somewhere or multiple places? It looks pretty rough in general and I have found one obvious spot with bare wires I repaired.
Does this sound like a logical conclusion, or should I also be considering something else? All those codes came up at once, and when the other sensors went out only the code pertaining to that sensor came up.
Might be time to look at a new harness. Also check all the pigtails to those sensors. My crankshaft sensor pigtail was bare and shorting out. I replaced the pigtail and its been fine. Might be worth a shot.
Ok, So I replaced the ICP sensor pigtail today, it started and ran fine for about 5 minutes.. Then it started weird surging up/down and erratic idle, and off/on response to the throttle.
I replaced the ICP sensor a few weeks ago before so It is new. It runs great when the ICP is unplugged though... Is it possible the old pigtail damaged the new ICP before I replaced it, or am I looking at something else? Other bad spots in the harness? possible HPO issues?
Well I cleared the codes tonight, plugged the ICP back in and it had trouble starting first try, ran rough, died. Tried a second time and it runs perfect again...
Drove it around the block, watched HPOP (875.5PSI Idle to 2600PSI full throttle) and IPR (31%-51%), and it did fine.. When I ran codes after driving it I got P1000 and P2?? which was intermittent ICP circuit...
I'm considering just replacing the entire wiring harness, but I dont want to waste $$...
When you replaced the ICP sensor you may have introduced a little air into the rail. It sometimes takes a while to work out. May be why it is a little hard to start at first.
Thanks dannyboy, Today is starts and runs like crap. Cant drive it anywhere because it has no power and the throttle does not respond half the time. Acts like its going to die.
I had to use it to move some furniture today so i unplugged the ICP and it runs fine...
Should I try swapping out the new ICP to see if its bad? Any other ideas?

You will get faster results by starting your own thread. Be sure to give all the info about the truck and
what DTCs you have. You will also want to have something to read live data.
