E4od neutraling out
Recently the od light started blinking. It went out for about 250-300 miles then started blinking again. We read the codes they were p1748 po344 po340. We changed out the cam position sensor worked ok for a few weeks then the light started up again. The other night went to the store and at 30-32 mph it felt like went to neutral let off the throttle and the rpm dropped as the truck slowed down to around 28 mph it took the throttle as long as did not push it to 30 mph. Now when first take off from a stop it shifts smooth not hard at all up to when it needs to shift at 30 then it just wont shift and wont go any faster. We were due to replace the batteries so did in hopes of that being the problem as we do know that a simple burned out tail light can cause these tranny's to act up. Took the truck for a test drive the light started blinking again and the neutral out issued occurred again within 1 mile so returned home under 28 mph. Read the codes again now only a p1748 and a p0603. Going to try and check the mpl on the side of tranny tomorrow for water/bad connection would appreciate any other suggestion as to what may be the issue.
As a side note the full synthetic tranny fluid we have kept in it since the rebuild is still bright red and does not smell burnt at all. Also there does not appear to be any slippage at all. Sorry for the long post just wanted to give as much info as we could to start
The P1748 code is persistent so you could have a problem with this solenoid or the whole solenoid pack.
Code P1748: EPC electrical fault.
This solenoid controls line pressure in the trans so a fault here would definitely result in neutraling out.
