Resume button doen`t work.
My 2006 F150 has a resume button that does not work .
Minor annoyance but any ideas on what it could be.
I just bought this truck with 29000 miles on it. Never seen snow yet.
5.4l triton. Previous owner only drove in the summer and garaged it all winter long.

Sounds like a sweet deal on a lightly used truck.
The resume button - you are using the cruise control, happily driving along at 72 mph and come up on slower traffic. You use the brakes to slow down, which disables the cruise. After you pass the slow traffic, you press "resume" and it fails to take you back to 72 mph - right?
Does everything else on the cruise work as expected?

Maybe dirty/corroded contact in the switch? Press it longer, press on different parts of the button, etc. to see what might work. I have a window switch that is finicky like that - you need to press in *just* the right spot.

Yes I`m running at highway speed.
It`s weird since everything else works.
Could it be programing like software as opposed to a bad contact in a switch?
