oil leak

Hey guys. I need some help. I checked my oil the other day in my 95 250 with a 460 in her. And today when I got home from work I didn't go back out to my truck for about 5 hours. A saw a leak under my truck. I found that it was oil. A lot. Of oil. Now I'll tell everyone that. When I looked at my oil the other day. I had to top I off. And I put to much in. But now I need to kinda know where this oil is coming from. I looked under my truck and saw a wet spot just behind the oil pan. But upwords. Just need some help on this. Could it be I just put to much in and its over flowing?

Anything would be of great help. Thanks. Me caleb

Well behind the oil pan and upwards is your rear main seal so that's probably it. Your best bet is to pressure wash under the engine and trans, then start it up and park somewhere while you watch for the source of the leak to show itself.

If you don't have a pressure washer, I've had good luck using the ones at the local car wash.
