Neutral Switch Bypass

What is the proper method for a neutral switch bypass on an automatic? There are two Blue/Reds and two Black/Whites.

Does anyone know if I need the Rear harness hooked up to complete that circuit?

I looked it up on "Search"

Tried using the search function on the site so I didn't have to keep asking these basic questions but the search didn't prove fruitful.

Hey, I just did this on my 77 to get it started and seems to work. Just wire the blue/reds together and the black/whites together. If this is isn't the "proper" way, not sure what is but worked for me.

I just bought a new one. I can't see how they would go bad but might as well throw money at the dang thing... My wife hates me anyways.

Actually its red/blue. Jump the two red/blue wires. The other two wires are for the back up lights.

It was the switch

You can imagine my happiness when my new $700 Harness failed to turn on the solenoid. Wouldn't even click. Stopped at autozone, got my $103 neutral safety switch (That's with military discount) and installed yesterday. Took the old 4 prong off from the donor harness. Connected the two blue/reds, then the two black/reds, put into a new plug assembly and voila! Started right up!

Tonight, I finish plumbing in the tail lights/ gas sender/ license plate lights and tidy up the engine compartment. I will attach pics to tomorrow's post.
