Adding receiver to a 2013

Might be adding a '13 to the work fleet but it won't have a receiver, when my '09 was rear ended I noticed it looked like the bumper and receiver are more or less all in one. So can just the receiver hitch be added on these or is it a complete bumper replacement?

There are after market receivers available. I think that Curt makes a couple different bolt on models for the truck.

Thanks, they do and have a install video, looks real easy and only little over $200. Says Carquest among other places can get them.

I added one to my 2012 XL and it was simple. Bolts right up. The mount for the seven pin plug, on the Ford wiring in the back, cannot be bought sepratley
I made mine and bolted it on. If you want to use the Ford Controller. You will need it and a wiring kit to install in place of the 4 wire pin that is probably already there. Have the dealer program it.
